Leonard Matovu
Founder/Executive Director
Leonard “Ronnie” has been the founder and executive director of Serve for Hope Uganda since 2014. After graduating with a bachelors degree in social work, he started working with Kampala Capital City Authority as a supervisor in the Department of Public Health. Ronnie also served as the East African representative for Venture Corps, a partnering organization of Serve for Hope Uganda. It is Ronnie’s passion to help those who cannot help themselves and give hope to the hopeless. He desires to see changes that bring about a better future for his local community and Uganda as a whole. This passion is what led Ronnie and his team to register Serve for Hope Uganda as an Ugandan NGO in 2014. Ronnie loves and serves our living God!
Florence Nabakiibi
CO-founder/In-country director
Florence is the co-founder and in-country director of Serve for Hope Uganda. She served as the administrative officer until she entered into the role of in-country director in 2019. Florence holds a bachelors degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Uganda Christian University. She is a trained counselor and project officer. She loves children and has a background in child protection. Florence also loves working with mothers in the community.
Faith Namutosi
Community outreach coordinator
Faith is the community outreach coordinator and joined the Serve for Hope Uganda team in 2017. She holds a bachelors degree in Social Work and Social Administration from Uganda Christian University. Faith is a trained social worker with experience in working with communities through coordinating, implementing, and evaluating projects and community outreach programs.
Lauren Matovu
Donor relations officer
Lauren is the donor relations officer at Serve for Hope Uganda. Lauren joined the team in 2015 after moving to Uganda to be with Ronnie and their children. She is a trained social worker with experience in child welfare and domestic violence. Lauren is passionate about empowering vulnerable and oppressed people for the glory of God.
